You are getting married and you want your wedding and invitations to reflect your religious beliefs but aren’t sure how to word the invites.
Relax, there are web sites where you are sure to find a Christian wedding invitation card wording idea.
This is one of my favorites:
Because you have shared in our lives by our friendship and love, we Susannah Louise Hagarty and Frank Joshua Long invite you to share our joy as we exchange marriage vows day, date, time St. Stephens Church address If you are unable to attend we ask your presence in thought and prayer
Another delightful creative example for wording that we have seen is:
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Holmes ask the Lord’s blessing and yours as their daughter Marilee Annette Holmes and Frederick Peter Hughes are married at St. Joseph’s Church day, date, time address
You might want to use a biblical quote as the opening line of your invitation verse. My sister-in-laws invitations went like this:
"…and the two shall become one" Please help us celebrate as we unite our bodies, souls and love in Holy Matrimony our ceremony will be held time, day and date at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church street address city and state
Christians come from many denominations with different practices and beliefs. Feel free to express those beliefs in your wedding invitations and festivities. If your religion frowns on alcohol consumption don’t be afraid to add that fact to your invitation. One friend added this to her invitation:
No alcohol will be served Please respect our beliefs
Catholic couples sometimes have a “Sacred Heart” wedding with red and white as the color scheme. Our niece chose this theme. Her bridesmaids wore white dresses with red sashes and they carried red roses. Her invitations were white with red borders:
Jamie Katrina Collins and Robert Lawrence Wilson hope that you will join us as we invite our hearts with the heart of Jesus as we are married on day, date, time at Sacred Heart R.C. Church
Why not make your own cheap inexpensive invitations and use your own creative idea to write an invitation that reflects your beliefs. Your Christian should follow the basic invitation etiquette.
You can find a Christian wedding invitation card idea to suit your needs, on the web.
