Your sister is having a beach wedding and you’d like to have the shower coordinate with that theme. But how do you go about making these invitations? Sure you’ve read all of the articles about doing homemade invitations, but none of them tell you exactly how to proceed. We are going to walk you through the procedure step by step.
The first thing you need to do is find a design template that will express what you want it to. The images you might want to consider could include things like flip-flops, surf boards, beach chairs, towels laid out on the sand, sea shells, palm trees and jumping dolphins. These are just some of the possible beach scenes you may want to use.
When you download a template play with the image for awhile to see if the size can be adjusted. If so you will be able to use it on almost any size card. If not you will either need to look for a specific card size or choose a different image.
Once you have decided on an image for your invitations, the next thing you need is to select wording that complements the design. You wouldn’t want to use formal verse on a flip flop invitation.
Choosing wording can be fun. You can be creative or stick to standard wording for a bridal shower.
An image of a couple silhouetted against the sun setting over the ocean might call for a simple verse like this:
You are invited to a bridal shower for Carrie Ann Williams on: day, date, time at the Seaside Inn address RSVP: name and number
This one is a little different but would be suitable for just about any beach shower theme:
As the beach is warmed by the sun above Kelly and Joe will be warmed by your love on the beach at Lake ABC on: day, date, time Let’s shower them with love and gifts for the linen closet RSVP: name and number
When you are ready to print your invitations be sure to have extra ink and a couple of extra cards in case of a paper jam or other mishap. We hope these hints on how to make beach wedding shower invitations is helpful.
