Rose Theme Wedding Ideas

I don’t know about you, but, literally, I am crazy about theme weddings.

Let me tell you about a rose theme wedding that I attended last year, in Louisiana.

I was friends with the bride and, just before the wedding, I asked her about her choices for design and she told me that she was going for a rose theme wedding.

She also told me that she was the one that insisted on that design, because she is a great fan of roses, and I noted that in her room, in college, she always managed to have one single rose in a vase. I thought that it was a great idea. Roses are not just beautiful flowers, they are a symbol of love and devotion.

This particular symbolism my friend wanted to imprint on her wedding. I was very curious to see how this idea would be implemented into her wedding, but I did not ask any further questions, as the bride wanted to make us all a surprise.

From the moment I entered the garden where the wedding was taking place, I noticed that my friend went for the red and white rose combination, the red ones being a symbol of passion, and the white ones, for the purity of the bride’s and groom’s feelings towards one another.

And what better idea than holding a rose theme wedding in a rose garden? The smell of the roses was sweet and fresh and the harmony of colors reflected in everything around us.

The bride’s gown was white and decorated with small buds of red roses – real roses, just sewn into the dress – and she carried in her hand a small bouquet of white and red roses.

The groom was also stunning, with a rose fastened to the chest pocket of his costume and a shirt mimicking the color of the red roses on the bride’s gown.Roses were also scattered in little crystal bowls on the tables and the napkins looked expensive with a rose model printed on them.
