When getting ready to send out your wedding invitations, there are some basic traditional etiquette rules that you can use as guidelines.

1) The person or persons paying for the wedding are considered the hosts. This is traditionally the parents of the bride.

4) Now the date, day and time is added written out, followed by the location and address.
If there will be a separate reception card included with the invitation, you are finished. If not add the reception location and time to the invitation.

When both sets of Parents host the wedding, the bride’s parents are mentioned first and then the groom’s.
Mr. and Mrs. John Richards And Mr. and Mrs. Tyler Smith request the pleasure of your company at the marriage of their children Susan Ellen Richards And William Tyler Smith etc.
